Come to Primal Fitness's Freerunner Night - Nov 13 - 7:30 PM PDF Print E-mail

Join us at Primal Fitness tonight with Leon and Knox.

Thanks to Travis Noble Graves, of the The Tribe, Primal Fitness has been quietly running Freerunning classes on Friday nights on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Friday Night Freerunner Night is a way to improve your freerunning skills in a safe environment with professional instructors. Freerunning includes things from flips to flow to creativity. Freerunning is a derivative of Parkour that incorporates acrobatic and creative movement into the obstacle-interaction of Parkour.

Primal Fitness is located at 219 M St DC

DC Metro Parkour Halloween Jam PDF Print E-mail

Last year, I organized a costumed Halloween Jam with the DC Parkour community (before PKVA existed).  This year, Pilou up in DC has gone ahead and decided to make it a tradition.  Well, I'm ALL for that!  Here's the info, hope to see you all out.. and in costume!

Now it's going to be a DC metro Parkour tradition: we 've got to have a Halloween Jam, and it has to be in Meridian Hill Park, now that the fountain is off!!

So, bring your best Parkour friendly costume, and let's make this as spectacular as last year's!!

When: Saturday, Oct 31st, 2:30PM
Where: Meridian Hill Park, meet by the low rectangular pool at the base of the fountain (the park is between 15th and 16th St NW and starts at W St NW)

Rock climbing is an excellent supplement to your parkour training. It helps build strength all around your body, but especially grip and upper body. It also challenges you to think creatively and push forward to find new paths. If you're up near Alexandria, VA you should check out SportRock for indoor rock climbing as the weather gets colder :)
