NOVA Holiday Meet and Dinner - Dec 27th @ Ballston, Arlington PDF Print E-mail

This year, we at PKVA want to do something a little bit different.  We believe in fostering a strong sense of community, reinforcing great training habits, and trying to get everyone together for special occasions, especially since we have become so active that there are many regular meets every day of the week in different locations...  A lot of the time, we don't get the opportunity to see each other as often or as regularly as we used to when PKVA was much smaller.

Parkour Virginia invites you to a holiday meet that will be followed by a dinner at a TBD location.  We want this to be able to work for YOU and to get as many people together as possible.  We want to be able to show the newcomers various approaches to training and new ways to look at obstacles and play with the environment.  Most of all, we want to be able to celebrate our community, because it is through you alone that we've had so much success.

The meet will take place on December 27th at 3PM.  We will be meeting at Quincy Park in Ballston and moving from there.

Quincy Park (1021 Quincy St):

We will be warming up and conditioning at the park.  This will start at approximately 3:30PM.  Dress warmly and in layers.  Don't forget to bring a change of clothes for the dinner afterward.  Don't want to be sweaty.  Dinner will be at a restaurant in the area, to be disclosed.  Don't forget money, either.

Rock climbing is an excellent supplement to your parkour training. It helps build strength all around your body, but especially grip and upper body. It also challenges you to think creatively and push forward to find new paths. If you're up near Alexandria, VA you should check out SportRock for indoor rock climbing as the weather gets colder :)
